This policy explains how The Grinder Pump Guys, LLC (“we,” “us”) collects, uses and protects information through thegrinderpumpguys.com, our service work, and the internal business tools we use, including our private QuickBooks Online integration.
Information we collect
- Information you give us: your name, phone number, email, service address and details about your system when you call us or submit a service request.
- Job and billing records: estimates, invoices, payments and service history for work we perform.
- Basic technical data: standard web server and security logs (such as IP address and browser type) handled by our hosting provider. We do not use advertising trackers or sell-your-data analytics on this site.
How we use it
- To schedule, perform, invoice and follow up on service work.
- To respond to your questions and keep you updated about your job.
- To keep our books, meet tax and licensing obligations, and protect against fraud.
Service providers we use
We share information only with providers that help us run the business, and only as needed:
- Jobber — our online service-request form and scheduling.
- Intuit QuickBooks — accounting, invoicing and payments.
- Cloudflare — website hosting and security.
- Google Fonts — serves the fonts on this site.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for third-party marketing.
Our QuickBooks integration
We operate a private, internal-use application (“Grinder Pump Guys Claude Connector”) that connects only to our own QuickBooks Online company. It is not offered to other businesses or the public.
- It accesses our accounting data (customers, items, transactions and reports) solely so our own staff can run reports and manage our books.
- It runs on company-controlled computers. Access tokens are stored locally and are never shared with third parties.
- QuickBooks data obtained through the integration is not sold, rented, or used for advertising.
- We can disconnect the integration at any time from QuickBooks, which revokes its access immediately.
How long we keep information
We keep customer and financial records as long as needed to serve you and as required by tax, licensing and other legal obligations, then delete or de-identify them.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections, access controls and reputable providers. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Your choices
You may ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to stop contacting you, by calling us. We will honor requests as required by law, subject to records we must keep.
Children
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date above shows when it last changed.
